Julien Lachaussée, born in Paris in 1976, is a freelance photographer. After studying photography, he spent five years working as an assistant. Since then, he has developed his own practice and presented his work in numerous exhibitions, including Galerie Patricia Dorfmann, Galerie Agnès B, Galerie Sergeant Paper, Galerie Datta, La Galerie Stardust, Galerie de la Clé, FNAC, and L’Imprimerie.
Alongside his personal work, he has collaborated with a range of magazines such as Desillusion, Sang Bleu, Les Inrockuptibles, Inked, Shoes-Up, and Black Rainbow. He has also created album covers for artists including Daniel Darc, Alizée, and Cock Robin.
He has published three books to date. Alive Tattoo Portraits, released in 2011 and reissued in 2016 in an expanded edition. In 2025, he publishes a third book, an intimate tribute to his friend Daniel Darc, who passed away a few years earlier, entitled Daniel Darc – Vers l’infini.
